Teen Scene
6/23/08---- We are done with our research of the current decade and the pages . We made this awesome survey that we are going to give to peers in UB and the community. This week we are breaking up into three groups ( 70's,80's,and 90's). The rest of the week is for research and completing the publisher pages. We are really pumped about getting the busy work done and going out to talk to people in the community. We are starting plans to assemble a few interviews with people to get their teen experince in multiple decades.
This is the fantablulous "Teen Scene" group! ---Being Strangely Odd...

6/25/08--6/26/08 Over These two days we have completed our articles and now developing Cover pages and surveys. We are so exciting for the next couple of weeks because we are going out to interview people.
6/30/08 - Over the last couple of weeks I have learned how specific events can change people’s outlook on life. The four different eras we are studying have different events that shaped the world view of the people that grew up in that era. From the Vietnam War to the Gulf War people’s outlook on life have been drastically different.
6/30/08- There are many things that i have learned over the past few weeks. But the one thing that stuck out to me was the trial of O.J. simpson. I have never heard about that before and i cant beleive that he wasnt put in jail.
7/8/08- Walking around Astoria,Oregon to all the businesses asking employees to take Teen Scene Survey on the various decades. Having some fun throughout the couple hours we had to pass out surveys. We had major success with businesses taking our survey, and at the end of the long, tiring day.
7/16/08- Today we worked on our little "get to know the authors" for our upcoming book for our project. After we had finished that it was about 11 a.m. at the time when Mr. Carpenter wanted to go for a walk to get away from all of this stress. We went on a trail to go to the Astor Column. Ty and Britney raced up to the top of the hill, as she was in flip flops she still beat him. Brittany and Angel were the last to follow. Meagan and her talent with heels and mud, and yet Conner and his strength. We took a few pictures and sat as a whole talking about what our final piece is going to look like. It was fun...
7/20/08- Our book got published!

Today is our last day to work on anything that we haven't finish, and tomorrow is the presentation. We all have been working very hard to get this book completed and IT'S DONE! Our book was published Monday July 20th 2008. Yay...We owe it all to each other and our project group leader Mr. Scott Carpenter. Thanks a heep! It was a blast working in this group, with friends, new people and one of my teachers from school. This experience was awesome even though at times it got very stressful, in the end we pulled through. I hope everyone has a great rest of summer and a fantastic year. BYE!!! -Britney
